1st Corinthians 13: 4-7
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;[a] it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

THE NEWSTAND

WELCOME TO 2017!

There is no time like the present to get involved with the SS American Memorial Foundation.  The growth of the overall activities on an off-premises has grown exponentially.

As we embark on the plan for the year, we are paying close attention to what we learned from our evaluations from events this past year.  We heard that you valued the memorial grounds so we are expanding the grounds to include camping.  We heard that you needed a fishing dock and we have plans to build one on the water that will allow wheelchair access to our wounded warriors.  We heard you needed structured PTSD counseling retreats and we have a qualified team in the making.  We heard that you wanted a “sanctioned” Memorial weekend BBQ cook-off contest and we are making plans as we speak.  We heard that you enjoyed the ranch lodge so much the Russell’s are moving off premises and making way for the lodge to be used by the Fisher House Foundation and VA Poly Trauma veteran families.

The SS American Memorial is a great place to learn and connect with others.  To ensure that we remain a learning organization, we need to stay connected with you so that we can flex as needs change.  I invite you to explore the many ways you can engage with the SS American Memorial Foundation.

1.  Attend any of the scheduled Military events.
2.  Attend our Freedom Friday events.
3.  Have a private event – the grounds are FREE for all related non-profits, military, or First Responders for fundraising, retirement, or spiritual retreats.
3.  Volunteer: Volunteering alongside wounded warriors is a great way to build character, appreciation, and relationships while you build skills.  Whether you have a few hours a month, or a few hours to help on an event, there are lots of ways to get involved.

2017 brings the ranch and grounds into a FULL non-profit management initiative with all associated expenses fully funded by donations.

This is YOUR memorial and grounds!
